warning:science content!

18 10 2007

lately, i have been frequently seeing this warning popping out from anything, anywhere in this addictive and make-me-feel-cool show, mythbusters (Discovery channel)which i am totally hooked to right now. this show is about busting myths/rumors ( that are usually from the net ). the two main hosts of the show are adam savage and jamie hyneman, plus three more hosts: tory, kari and grant. of them all, i like adam the most because of his character and he does not leave anything unspoken. he doesn’t shut up and he does everything, like he shaved his hair and covered himself with paint, he built a fart catching apparatus, he donated his poop for methane source, he let someone stuck a thermometer to his *ssh*le and a lot lot more. truly a host. well, jamie is also the same, and the same goes for the three new hosts but i personally think that adam is the one giving more color to the show. (dude, i definitely take any goods, in cash or in check ).

done some googling and learned that mythbusters is now on its sixth season and yet i am still on the third season. download backlog is the cause. please seeders, seed more.

the celebration

16 10 2007

october 8, 2005 — a date that will always be a part of my and trick’s life because this is the day when we tied the knot and vowed to stay together as husband and wife.

and so that day has passed and time flies really fast, and last oct.8 we celebrated our 2nd year anniv and here are some pics of our simple yet memorable celebration =). it started sat, we just went out for stroll in yurakucho ( where we bought a gift for ourselves, woohoo!), next day we went to mt. takao for a so-called “hiking”, and on the last day, we went to a karaoke bar( another woohoo! )

socially incompetent – part 1

11 10 2007

two sundays ago, i was invited to a baby’s celebration by the consul from work. the baby’s so cute and looks like a doll. *dreaming i will be having one soon*
neways, there i met my boss’ wife and his kids and i was able to have small chats with the people from work. the embarrassing part was, there were a lot of them whom i don’t know the names. toinks! since hubby came with me, when i was introducing him, i was pulling the name of the other person out of my brain’s empty namelist. it was a relief when i learned hubby knows how to get their names :D . now i am familiar with most of their names! =D

so everybody was mingling and trying to have their share of small talks from the people in the venue but i could not find my guts to start any conversation with those i am not acquainted with. another toinks! i am really struggling in this area. actually, i am now reading articles and how-to’s from the net, socializing for dummies. *yawn*

another thing i remember from that event was, there were no food for the “older ones”, but it was like a magical sweets land for the kiddos. well, i just wished there were some hearty foods for the ones who’re only young at heart. what i did is, i filled my “candy loot bag” with chocolates and candies from the bar before heading home. just upon seeing the sweets, my tooth yelled “i am aching”. of course, it is just my imagination. teeth don’t talk. =D

ok, so much for my monologue. i need to work now.
